These cocoons are then boiled in water to soften the outer layer and make it easier to extract the silk thread. The silk is then reeled and dyed in vibrant colors using natural dyes. The weaving of the saree is done entirely by hand on traditional handlooms. Skilled weavers work tirelessly to create intricate patterns and designs on the saree, using techniques that have been passed down for generations.
