Description
Green Grey Handloom Dhakai Jamdani Saree is a traditional Bengali saree known for its intricate handwoven patterns and designs. It is mainly produced in the Dhaka district of Bangladesh and is popularly worn by women in West Bengal as well. The saree is made using the Jamdani weaving technique, which involves weaving floral or geometric motifs on a sheer cotton fabric. The motifs are woven using a supplementary weft technique, where an extra weft thread is added to create the intricate patterns. This process is done entirely by hand, making each saree unique and one-of-a-kind. The fabric used for making this saree is usually lightweight and airy, making it perfect for the hot and humid climate of Bengal. The primary colors used in these sarees are green and grey, giving them a subtle and elegant look. However, nowadays, one can find a variety of colors and combinations in these sarees.
