Moissanite Maangtika is a traditional Indian bridal headpiece that is worn in the center part of the hairline. It is often worn as a part of the bride's wedding attire and is popularly known as "matha patti" in many parts of India. Maangtikas are also worn by bridesmaids and other women for special occasions. The word "maangtika" is derived from the Sanskrit word "maang" which means "parting of the hair" and "tika" which means "a dot". This headpiece is also known as "mathapatti" which means "forehead band" in Hindi. The maangtika consists of a central pendant that is attached to a chain or string. The pendant is usually made of gold or silver and is adorned with precious gemstones, pearls, or intricate design work.
