Tussar silk is known for its unique texture, rich golden color and durability, making it a popular choice for sarees. The process of making this saree starts with the cultivation of the silk worms on Arjun, Saja and Sal trees. After the worms have spun their cocoons, the cocoons are boiled in hot water to extract the silk threads. These threads are then sorted, twisted, and handwoven into beautiful sarees. The brown color of this saree is achieved by dyeing the silk threads with natural dyes such as bark, leaves, fruits, and flowers. This makes the saree eco-friendly and chemical-free, giving it a unique and organic appeal.
