Description
Garuda is a legendary bird in Hindu, Buddhist, and Jain mythology. It is often depicted as a large, powerful eagle-like creature with a human-like face and golden feathers. In Hinduism, Garuda is considered the king of birds and the mount of the god Vishnu. In Buddhism, Garuda is seen as a protector and symbol of wisdom. In Jainism, Garuda is known as the king of birds and is often associated with the sun and air.
According to Hindu mythology, Garuda was born from an egg laid by the goddess Vinata. He was tasked with the responsibility of carrying the god Vishnu on his back and protecting him from danger. Garuda is often depicted with four arms, two of which hold weapons and the other two are folded in a gesture of respect towards Vishnu. He is also shown with wings and the body of a bird, symbolizing his ability to fly.
Garuda is revered for his strength, speed, and courage.
