Kiely Orla Kiely is a renowned Irish fashion designer known for her bold and playful designs that combine retro and modern styles. She was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1963 and studied at the National College of Art and Design. After graduating, she moved to New York to work for a wallpaper and fabric designer, where she gained valuable experience and knowledge in textile design. In 1995, Kiely returned to Ireland and launched her eponymous label, Orla Kiely. She initially started with accessories, including hats, bags and belts, but later expanded into ready-to-wear clothing and home goods. Her designs are characterized by her signature use of bold, vibrant colors, and playful prints, often inspired by nature and geometric shapes. One of Kiely''s most notable designs is her stem print, a simple yet iconic design that has become synonymous with her brand. She also incorporates other unique prints such as flower motifs, animal patterns, and graphic designs into her collections.
